What is the meaning of the sensor?

Sensor is a detection device that can capture the measured information and convert the collected information into electrical signals or other required forms of information output according to certain rules in order to meet the requirements of information transmission, processing, storage and display. Recording and control requirements.

  • What are the characteristics of the sensor?

  • Where is the importance of sensors reflected?

What kind of sensors are there?

1. Temperature sensor

The device collects information about the temperature from the source and converts it into a form that other devices or people can understand. The best example of a temperature sensor is a mercury-in-glass thermometer that expands and contracts as temperature changes.

2. Infrared sensor

The device emits or detects infrared radiation to detect specific phases in the environment. In general, all objects in the infrared spectrum emit heat radiation, and infrared sensors detect this radiation invisible to the human eye.

3. UV sensor

These sensors measure the intensity or power of the incident UV light. This electromagnetic radiation has a longer wavelength than X-rays, but is still shorter than visible light. An active material called polycrystalline diamond is used for reliable UV detection that can detect when the environment is exposed to UV radiation.

4. Touch sensor

The touch sensor acts as a variable resistance according to the touch position. Diagram of touch sensor operating as variable resistance.

5. Proximity sensor

Proximity sensors detect the presence of objects that have hardly any contact point. Due to the lack of contact between sensor and measuring object and the lack of mechanical parts, these sensors have a long service life and high reliability. Various types of proximity sensors are inductive proximity sensors, capacitive proximity sensors, ultrasonic proximity sensors, light barriers, Hall effect sensors, etc.

What are the characteristics of the sensor?

Features of the sensor include: miniaturization, digitization, intelligence, multifunction, systematization and networking. It is the first link that realizes automatic detection and automatic control. The existence and development of sensors allows objects to have senses such as touch, taste and smell, and slowly brings objects to life. It is usually divided into ten categories according to its basic sensor functions, including thermal elements, photosensitive elements, gas sensitive elements, force sensitive elements, magnet sensitive elements, moisture sensitive elements, sound sensitive elements, radiation sensitive elements, color-sensitive elements and taste-sensitive elements.

Where is the importance of sensors reflected?

sensors have already penetrated extremely wide areas such as industrial production, space development, marine research, environmental protection, resource collection, medical diagnosis, biotechnology and even the protection of cultural monuments. It is no exaggeration to say that almost every modern project is inextricably linked to a variety of sensors, from vast space to the vast ocean to various complex technical systems.

It turns out that the important role of sensors in the development of the economy and the promotion of social progress is very obvious. All countries in the world attach great importance to the development of this area. It is believed that there will be a leap in sensor technology in the near future, which will reach a new level according to its importance.

In order to meet these growing demands, Guangzhou HERUI has various sensors that enable the enhancement of products and make them more effective, reliable and consistent.
